My supervisor is leaving, May Allah bless him.
My lead supervisor, Prof El-Awaisi will leave the Institute for a journey to expand the new field of inquiry. I will lost him and his guidance, but I will keep his spirit in my heart. As the founder of this new field of inquiry, he has helped me a lot in growing love to Islamicjerusalem.Yesterday, we, ALMISS (Al-Maktoum Institute Student Society) having a farewell party to thank him for all his guidance and wish him all the best in his journey.
I would like to share some precious notes given by Prof El-Awaisi during the farewell party by ALMISS on previous Wednesday, which I feel very motivated by that (in my shoes).
“Face the challenge. You might be beaten by the challenge, but that is not the end of the world. You need to start up and to face that challenge.
Don’t aim to be the second, normally, at all time, aimed to be the first.
There is nothing impossible. Anything you can achieve. ...
You have a determination, you will achieve,
Don’t aim low, aim high, if you aim low, you will end low, If you aim high, you will end high, If you don’t achieve that high, you will be little bit lower, but still high.
Don’t aim to be the weakest. Aim to be among the strongest. Even if you be the weakest among the strongest, you are still strong. …”
